Watch a Debate

Picture
MPs are allocated a pair of Public Gallery tickets each month (when the House is sitting) which they may pass on to constituents who wish to watch a debate in the House of Commons.

If you are interested in attending a debate, please contact me  via joan.ruddock.mp@parliament.uk and we will be able to advise you of upcoming dates for which we have an allocation.

Alternatively, if there is a specific date on which you would like to visit, we may be able to obtain tickets (subject to availability).  MPs may book a maximum of 6 tickets for each session.

It is also possible to queue for tickets on the day, but please bear in mind that this may involve quite a long wait and that any spare tickets are always allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prime Minister's Questions

Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) takes place every Wednesday (when the House is sitting) from 12.00-12.30pm.

During this weekly session the Prime Minster answers questions from Members of Parliament.  PMQs is popular with both MPs and members of the public alike and often results in some quite dramatic exchanges.

Each MP is allocated three pairs of tickets per year and depending on availability it may sometimes be possible to book tickets for additional dates.  Please note, however, that we can only ever book 2 tickets per session.

There is always a great deal of demand for tickets, but we will always do our best to accommodate requests from constituents where possible.  If you contact me via joan.ruddock.mp@parliament.uk we will be able to advise you of the current situation and the date of our next available allocation (if known).

Update January 2015: We have now used our full allocation of PMQs tickets to the end of March, at which point Parliament will dissolve for the general election and Dame Joan will be standing down. All further requests for tickets will therefore need to be made to her successor.
