Today I visited Lewisham College to see the work being done by staff and pupils. During my visit to the college's Deptford campus, I toured the sports facilities and met with Paralympic athlete Tanni Grey Thompson who was filming a promotional video for British sports.
I also met with and answered questions from trade union representatives who are taking an occupational health and safety course at the college.
I was delighted to visit Lewisham College again to see the continuing excellent work they do developing the skills of local people. I'm always impressed by the students and it is a source of pride that we have such a valuable organisation based in our community.
