Now in its 29th year, Volunteers' Week is a nationwide week to celebrate the work of millions of volunteers who give up their time to help others.
This year it runs from 1st-7th June. Organisations will be taking the opportunity to recognise the contribution of their volunteers by holding awards ceremonies, recruitment fairs, celebration events, training opportunities and volunteer taster sessions.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of many organisations, from schools and community groups to museums and hospitals, and they very much deserve recognition for all their hard work.
