Royal Mail Christmas Stamp Scheme

11/10/2012

Royal Mail is launching a Christmas Stamp scheme to assist customers who are in receipt of Pension Credit, Employment and Support Allowance or Incapacity Benefit in buying stamps in the run up to Christmas.

A leaflet regarding the scheme is being sent to every household in the UK between 8th and 18th October.

The scheme will run from November 6th until December 24th at all UK Post Office branches.  It will enable customers to purchase a total of 36 First and Second Class stamps at last year's prices (46p for First, 36p for Second).  The stamps can be purchased in any combination of First and Second Class but they must be bought in a single transaction.

To be eligible customers will need to be in receipt of Pension Credit, Emplyment and Support Allowance or Incapacity Benefit.

To purchase the stamps you will need to show proof of receipt of these benefits: either a letter from the Department of Work & Pensions or a Post Office Card Account statement.

You also need to present the voucher found on the reverse of the leaflet.  Each voucher is valid for one purchase only, but can be used for up to two people.  You can ask a friend, relative or carer to collect the stamps on your behalf, as long as they are in possession of the voucher and relevant proof of receipt.

Vouchers can also be obtained from the Royal Mail Customer Service Team on 08456 016 248 or requested through the website:
www.royalmail.com/stampoffer.
