The final takes place in Balham tonight. Unfortunately I am not able to attend but I would like to wish Floodliners the best of luck.
The competition received over 1000 entries from 430 constituencies. MPs selected their favourite act from each category and the finalists were selected from a judging panel made up of international music industry experts.
On being selected for the live final, Floodliners said: “We’re really excited to be part of Rock the House and the prize of playing at the Houses of Parliament is unique to say the least. It’s great that Rock the House recognizes the importance of young talent and gives bands like ourselves a platform to perform and showcase what we can do.”
Founder of Rock the House, Mike Weatherley MP said: “All the finalists have done incredibly well to make it this final stage, they should all be proud of their achievement.
Rock the House was founded by Mike Weatherley MP to raise awareness of intellectual property theft and live music issues in Parliament through a nationwide competition to find the best solo act, band, venue and music video UK talent has to offer.
