It is clearly important for some local authorities and parts of the court system to improve their performance when it comes to identifying children who are suitable for adoption, and then ensuring that they are placed in a timely fashion.
“David Cameron and the Tory-led Government cannot have it both ways. Whilst presiding over a reckless local government settlement, he is clearly out of touch with the realities facing local authorities in ensuring that all children thrive, whether they grow up in residential or foster care or placed with adoptive parents.”
